| Cardamom is a perennial with erect stems, 2-3 m high. The plant has downy leaves and flowers with a greenish-white corolla, containing a single fertile stamen set in the edge of the petals. The seeds are dark-reddish brown with a rough, wrinkled surface. Cardamom is found in southern India, Nepal, Guatemala, Mexico, Sri Lanka and Central America. |
